Ingredients of Methi Murgh Malai
- 1 1/2 kilograms skinless chicken
- 3 clove
- 2 bay leaf
- 3 chopped tomato
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2 dry red chili
- 1/2 cup yoghurt (curd)
- 2 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- salt as required
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 black cardamom
- 3 chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon chopped green chilli
- 2 bunch chopped fenugreek leaves ( methi)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
How to make Methi Murgh Malai
Step 1 Saute the whole spices and onionHeat oil in a large pan. Add cloves, bay leaves, cardamom and saute for a minute. Now add the chopped onions and saute till golden brown.
Step 2 Add ginger, garlic, chillies and tomatoNow add the paste of garlic, ginger, tomato, dry red chillies and green chillies. Mix well. Cook till the tomatoes turn mushy and leave the oil on the side.
Step 3 Add the dry masalasNow add all the dry masala listed above and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Step 4 Add chickenOnce the masala is prepared, add the chicken pieces. Mix well and cook on high flame for a few minutes. Now add methi seeds and lower the flame to medium. Cover with lid and cook till the chicken is perfectly cooked.
Step 5 Add fresh creamLastly, add fresh cream and mix well. Let it simmer for a few more minutes.
